Two weeks left for CQ teenagers to win big

Budding CQ filmmakers need to act now for their chance to win a share in $3000 of prizes in the CQ Health 10,000 Lives Young Filmmakers competition.
The competition closes on Tuesday 16 October.
Senior Project Officer for 10000 Lives Caron Williams says entrants are encouraged to create a short film with the theme about not smoking.
“Entries can be a documentary, a community service announcement, a piece of fiction or even music or animation,” she said.
“I encourage young people to use their phones and cameras and enter the competition to explore tobacco themes such as e-cigarettes, social smoking, peer pressure and family members who are addicted to nicotine.”
Rotary Clubs have a long history of supporting young people and have partnered with CQ Health to contribute more than $3000 worth of prizes to reward effort to all entries.
