Hospital café upgrade on the menu

22 June 2018

Rockhampton Hospital is building a better café, with work starting next week (June 25).

The current café will be temporarily closed from Saturday, June 23, ready for the two month building program.

Executive Director Wendy Hoey said it was full steam ahead at Rockhampton Hospital with building works.

“Our new multi-storey car park is well under way, and a new fresh look café will be another plus for our patients, visitors and staff,” she said. “I do apologise for any inconvenience during the building works, but the results will be worth it.”

Visitors and patients are advised that a temporary coffee cart will operate near the main entrance off North Street during construction. It will sell hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and salads.

The new café is expected to be up and running in September.
