How we are engaging
Consumer representation on committees, working groups and projects
It is important for our consumers, patients, their families and their carers to be involved in decision making processes which shape the care we provide. We want consumers to be represented on our strategic and quality governance committees, working groups and projects.
Anyone who uses our health services in Central Queensland are welcome to submit an expression of interest. Find out more about being a consumer representative on a committee.
Patient satisfaction surveys
CQ Health conduct patient satisfaction surveys. The surveys have been developed by patients for patients. The Patient as Consumer Survey is conducted annually by Best Practice Australia.
Telling stories can be a powerful way for consumers to use their lived experiences to influence healthcare. People remember stories because they have emotional reactions to them. Hearing personal stories from consumers helps staff to focus on keeping consumers at the heart of the care they deliver.
Consumer participation on interview panels
Involving consumers in our recruitment process helps us to get the right staff for the job.
