How much will it cost to park at Rockhampton Hospital?
The parking rates are as follows:
Less than 20 minutes
20 mins to 1 hour
1 hour to 3 hours
3 hours to 4 hours
4 hours to 6 hours
6 hours to 24 hours
*50% concession rate is applicable after the first hour.

How do I pay? What types of payment are available?
There will be four pay stations across the Rockhampton Hospital campus. Pay stations will be located at the ground level entrance of the multi-level car park; the main entrance of the hospital; in the Mental Health car park off Quarry Street; and at the entrance of Geriatric and Rehabilitation Services. Payment methods are credit card (VISA or Mastercard only); debit card and/or cash.
If there is a problem with the ticketing machine what do I do?
If there is an issue with the ticketing machine please press the assistance button which will connect you with the car park management office or phone 07 4920 7534 (24 hours a day, seven days a week).
Can I still park on the street?
Yes. Please follow any marked signage. It will be a Rockhampton Regional Council responsibility to police parking around the streets adjacent to the Hospital. Rockhampton Hospital has no jurisdiction in this regard.
Can I access parking at night?
Yes. Access to all car parking on site will be available 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Can I get help to and from my car?
Yes. If you require assistance to and from your car please contact car park management office on 07 4920 7534.
Can I leave my car overnight?
Yes. There is no limit on how long you can park in the car park as you will be charged accordingly.
Are there elevators in the multi-level car park?
Yes. The new multi-level car park has three elevators located at the southern end (closet to the hospital) and can be accessed from all levels of the car park.
How many disabled parks are there and where are they?
There will be 21 disabled parks throughout the multi-level car park. Six are located on Ground Floor and there are five each on Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. The parks are located near the elevators. You must display an Australian or International “Disabled Parking Permit” to park in these allocated bays.
Can I smoke in the car park?
No. The entire Rockhampton Hospital campus, including the new multi-level car park is a smoke free zone.
What happens if I have a medical emergency?
There are emergency call points throughout the car park which will connect you to Rockhampton Hospital switch.
What is the maximum height for vehicles?
Vehicles entering the multi-level car park facility are restricted to a maximum height of 2.3 metres.
How do I access the multi-level car park?
The multi-level car park will have access from Canning street and North street.
Is the ticket machine available in other languages?
Yes. Vietnamese, Portuguese and Tamil. If you need assistance for any other languages, please ask a staff member for interpreter services.
