Extended hours for COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Wednesday

28 June 2021

Goondiwindi Hospital’s COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine clinic will be open until 7pm this Wednesday.

“The clinic is operating right through until 4.00pm Thursday so this is a great opportunity for people aged 16 and over to get the Pfizer vaccine,” said Goondiwindi Hospital Director of Nursing Allison Cilento.

“We understand many people are working so we’ve also extended our hours to 7pm on Wednesday.

“To make the process as simple as possible our team can help you register when you arrive, so don’t worry about pre-registering, just come to the clinic at the Bowls Club end of the hospital and we’ll be happy to help you.

“Please remember to bring your ID, Medicare card, and a pen.

“There will be a follow-up clinic to provide the second dose from 30 July to 5 August.”

Additional information:

For people who have already had a first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine, advice from the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI), is that if there was no serious adverse reaction after that first dose, they should go ahead and have the second dose of AstraZeneca.

To access your second AstraZeneca dose please talk with your GP.
