Help shape maternity services at new hospital

20 September 2019

South Burnett residents will have the opportunity to help shape the future of maternity care at the new Kingaroy Hospital.

A Community Engagement Maternity Forum will be held next Wednesday 25 September from 5.30pm to 7pm.

Denelle Morrison from the Kingaroy Hospital Redevelopment team said the forum was open to all interested residents.

“The forum is an opportunity for community residents to share their thoughts and hopes for maternity services at the new hospital,” Ms Morrison said.

“It will also be an opportunity for us to share the recent findings from the state-wide maternity taskforce and how this will impact the services we can provide in the South Burnett.”

Each year, an average of 306 babies are born at the Kingaroy Hospital.

The forum will be held at the Kingaroy Hospital’s QRME training rooms.

RSVP to denelle.morrison@health.qld.gov.au by Monday 23 September.
