Women are encouraged to take advantage of BreastScreen Queensland’s state-of-the-art digital mobile service while it is in Taroom, Miles and Wandoan.
BreastScreen Queensland Toowoomba Service health promotion officer Alexandra Robbins-Hill said the accessibility of the mobile service provided a great opportunity for women to look after their health while remaining in their local communities.
"The mobile service visits selected rural locations every two years," Ms Robbins-Hill said.
"This is a great opportunity for women to book in for their first breast screen, or to come back for their regular two-yearly screen.
"We know that early detection of women’s cancers provides the best chance of survival and quality of life, so if you haven’t been keeping up-to-date with these important checks, now is the time to do so.

Ms Robbins-Hill said all women aged 50 to 74 were encouraged to attend, although women over 40 and over 75 were still eligible.
