A new piece of equipment, generously funded by the Warwick Rotary Club, has been welcomed by patients and staff at Warwick Hospital.
The fit-for-purpose chemotherapy trolley is being used to support the hospital’s newly introduced telechemotherapy service.
The service has enabled local patients to access chemotherapy services at the Southern Downs hospital, rather than having to travel to larger centres.
"The trolley certainly helps to streamline our delivery of care to our patients," Warwick Hospital registered nurse Karen Trotman said.
"It has different sections for medication and other pieces of equipment needed for the delivery of chemotherapy."
The telechemotherapy service was introduced at Warwick Hospital earlier this year.
