A Heritage Bank ATM is located on Level 2 – Emma Webb Building Toowoomba Hospital. EFTPOS is also available at the café.
The wards at Toowoomba Hospital have shared and single rooms which accommodate both public and private patients. Rooms are allocated on clinical need and very ill or infectious patients will have priority to single rooms.
Most wards at Toowoomba Hospital accommodate both female and male patients, however at times single sex wards are used.
The Paediatric Ward accommodates children and young adults up to 18 years.
Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service (DDHHS) promotes a welcoming environment for families, carers and friends visiting their loved ones in hospital. While there are restrictions for visitors in some areas, DDHHS has a flexible approach to visiting hours. In areas where restrictions may apply, the best interest of the patient is considered as a priority and visitors are asked to respect this if applicable.

The hospital does have small lockers for personal items beside your bed but Toowoomba Hospital does not accept liability for money or valuables.
Please do not bring them to hospital - send them home with a relative or friend.

Parking can be paid for at the vending machine on Level 2 of the car park.

The Toowoomba Hospital is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is not permitted within 5 metres of the boundaries of the Toowoomba Hospital. Fines apply.
The Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme (PTSS) provides financial assistance to eligible patients who are required to travel for specialist health services not available locally.
The scheme assists with travel and accommodation costs only.
PTSS documentation should be completed through your local hospital.

Your appointment time for your outpatient/pre-admission will be managed as close as possible to the allotted time.

However, by choosing to use your private health insurance during your stay, the cost of your treatment is shared between your health fund and treating hospital.
