Clinical Placements Strategic Review 2020-2021

In 2020-21, Queensland Health conducted a strategic review of the clinical placements program. The purpose of the review was to examine the strategic governance, resourcing, risk, and policy elements of the program and to facilitate its continued alignment with contemporary legislative and governance arrangements. The review sought to ensure that the program contributes effectively to Queensland Health’s objectives for student clinical education and training.

Current Student Placement Deed holders and other stakeholders were invited to participate in targeted consultation activities as part of the review, and many shared their experiences and views in relation to the strategic operation of the clinical placement program.

The review was finalised in May 2021 and the Review Summary outlines the key findings and recommendations.
