Clinical Placements Strategic Review 2020-2021

To reflect current legislative and governance arrangements in Queensland and Queensland Health, a strategic review of the clinical placements program is being undertaken throughout 2020 and 2021. The purpose of the review is to examine the strategic governance, resourcing, risk and policy elements of the program. The review aims to ensure that the program contributes effectively to Queensland Health’s objectives for student clinical education and training.

Targeted consultation activities are occurring during the second half of 2020. Current Student Placement Deed holders and some other external stakeholders have been advised of these opportunities. Other organisations that would like to contribute to the review are invited to contact the project team at

As further updates to the project’s progression become available, they will be provided on this page.
