Clinical Placements Strategic Review 2020-2021

To reflect current legislative and governance arrangements in Queensland and Queensland Health, a strategic review of the clinical placements program is being undertaken throughout 2020 and 2021. The purpose of the review is to examine the strategic governance, resourcing, risk and policy elements of the program. The review aims to ensure that the program contributes effectively to Queensland Health’s objectives for student clinical education and training.

Student Placement Deed holders and other stakeholders were contacted in relation to targeted consultation activities conducted as part of the review. The consultation phase of the review has now concluded and Queensland Health is working through all of the valuable input received from stakeholders.

If you would like to discuss any aspect of the review, you are invited to contact the project team at As further updates to the project’s progression become available, they will be provided on this page.
