Senior medical relief program

The senior medical relief program is administered by Queensland Country Practice (QCP) and provides short and medium term placement services for experienced senior medical officers across Queensland.

What are the benefits?

There are many benefits of being a senior medical reliever:

  • the sense that you are making a difference to the life of a rural colleague and an entire community
  • opportunities to practice in a hospital and combined hospital/general practice setting
  • the experience of working in culturally diverse communities and locations that you may not normally get to visit.

Where can you work?

QCP supports rural and remote hospitals and health care services across Queensland – from the coast to the outback. Almost all of the Queensland Hospital and Health Services have a rural element and range from close proximity to a large city to remote islands or inland settings.

For more information or to register for the program, contact the Workforce Services Manager, Queensland Country Practice on (07) 3199 3959 or email.
