Payroll Portfolio supports the largest integrated workforce management and payroll solution in the Queensland public sector. The Queensland Health payroll solution pays all Queensland Health staff across the state, with the exception of Queensland Ambulance Service.
Payroll Portfolio provides statewide workforce management and payroll services to Queensland Health including the delivery and support of the workforce management and payroll solutions. Payroll Portfolio is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of wage and salary payments, employee related disbursements, rostering, employee personal details management, debt management and establishment maintenance for over 96,000 employees, on average each fortnight.
The Integrated Workforce Management Project (IWFM)
IWFM seeks to enhance the roster-to-pay process and deliver positive outcomes to support enhanced workforce management and drive the delivery of tangible benefits for both HHSs and the Department of Health through improved tools, processes and access to real-time information where and when it is needed.
The project will leverage the capability of the existing payroll and rostering solutions which underpin the Queensland Health rostering and payroll environment.
Payroll Services provides a statewide processing service to HHSs and the Department ensuring accurate and timely delivery of:
- employee wages and salary payments
- employee-related disbursements including superannuation
- roster data entry and maintenance
- employee personal details management
- establishment maintenance
- debt management.
Workforce Management Solutions and Operations (WMSO)
WMSO delivers and supports workforce management and payroll solutions including system maintenance and improvement through:
- architecture and solution strategy design
- development and testing
- end-to-end IT service management
- change and release management
- solution vendor management and payroll bureau
- system administration and infrastructure provision.
