Youth Mental Health

A Barrett Commission of Inquiry Implementation Steering Committee (COI ISC) oversaw the implementation of the Queensland Government response. Communiques were issued after each of the eight meetings held from August 2016 to July 2017. Health Consumers Queensland provided a final written report as well as a short video final report.

A new  Youth Mental Health Program Oversight Committee has been established by Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Branch (MHAODB), Clinical Excellence Queensland, Department of Health and will oversee the Youth Mental Health Program developed as result of the successful implementation of the Queensland Government response to the Barrett Adolescent Centre (BAC) COI Report. This Oversight Committee met for the first on 13 October 2017.
