Consumer & community engagement

Our vision to exemplify compassionate, innovative and high quality health care can only be realised by understanding the needs of consumers and communities and establishing strong, dynamic partnerships.

Connecting for Health (PDF, 946KB) is our plan of action for the next three years to involve, include and engage with a diversity of consumers, carers and families, as well as community health services and organisations, in order to deliver compassionate, innovative and high quality care. A summary of the strategy (PDF, 304KB) was developed with Metro North consumers. It highlights our priorities over the next three years. 

Our objectives under Connecting for Health are to:

  1. Lead a continuously improving consumer-centred culture.
  2. Include a diversity of people and voices.
  3. Improve how we respond to consumer experiences and expertise.
  4. Integrate for a seamless care experience for individuals, families and communities in Metro North
