As a younger man, Alan was an accountant with a local firm. He was a self-diagnosed workaholic who rarely took holidays.
When he did have free time, Alan indulged his love of books and spent time reading whenever he could.
Life changed for Alan in 1996 when he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. He spent the next three years adjusting and starting to manage the condition to ensure he could still live a long and purposeful life.
"I still do a lot of reading but lately have been more of an outdoors type person, tending to the garden when I can."
"My advice to others? Be sensible about the role work plays in your life. You can't get the time back."

To quote an old saying…. No one has on their gravestone “ I wished I’d worked more”
Thanks for sharing your story Alan best wishes
Very wise words
Totally agree. Being outdoors certainly changes your perspective. Well done.
Sage advice from a bloke who knows.
What strength you are showing others Alan. Good onya mate.
Sending prayers and strength your way—I truly understand what you're going through. A few weeks ago, I felt the same way when I was diagnosed with MS. But I didn’t just give up; I researched tirelessly until I found a natural treatment that worked for me. Today, I’m thankful to be a survivor thanks to the herbal remedies recommended to me by Dr Elinfo. If you or anyone you know is struggling with MS or other health issues, I highly encourage reaching out to him for help.

Hello! I just wanted to send some prayers your way. I understand how hard things can be, as I've been through tough times myself. A friend shared this link [www.facebook.com/Dr-Eboigbe-harbel-home-108642805276409/] with me recently, and it's been incredible. They've helped me and many others overcome our challenges. Thanks to them, I don't experience any symptoms anymore! Life has been much better since I found them. If you need a helping hand, give them a try. Sending lots of love your way .

The Kilcoy Hospital Auxiliary Association is celebrating 50 years of dedication to the community at the Kilcoy Hospital Fete this weekend.
Auxiliary Association President Lesley, Vice President Denise and 100-year-old Patroness Ida have been working hard alongside Auxiliary members to collate 50 years of history to share with the community on Saturday.

"I joined the Auxiliary in 1989. It has been rewarding to be able to give back to the hospital that I was born in, spent many of my childhood years in as a sickly asthmatic child and went on to work in for much of my life."
The Kilcoy Hospital Fete is being held from 9am on Saturday 24 May at the old nurses' quarters, with the famous auction commencing at 11:30am.
