Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month may be drawing to a close, but we are continuing to support victim-survivors of Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) and are encouraging everyone in the community to take a stand towards prevention.

Judi recently joined the Metro North team as an Inpatient Specialist dealing in Domestic Family Violence Mental Health support.

Judi understands the importance of knowing how to recognise, respond, and refer consumers where DFV may be present.

“Our trauma-informed principles are a foundation of the care we provide," Judi said.

"Health care workers are upskilling to be able to better recognise DFV risk factors and to respond promptly and appropriately."

Judi recognises the importance of collaboration with consumers and staff to support those affected by DFV. 💝

"We are working with consumers, their families and other stakeholders to co-design processes to safely discharge consumers as part of the bigger picture to make our communities healthier and safer."

Support services are available for those affected by DFV – click for more information.
