Christmas opening hours

The Brisbane clinic and pharmacy closes at 4pm Friday 22nd December 2017, and reopens Tuesday 2nd January 2018.

The Redcliffe clinic closes at 4pm Friday 22nd December 2017, and reopens Monday 8th January 2018.

If you are concerned about possible exposure to HIV, then please contact 13 HEALTH or present to your nearest hospital emergency department to discuss PEP (post exposure prophylaxis).

Syphilis rates continue to rise

Syphilis

Syphilis rates continue to rise. Almost all cases are men who have sex with men. Syphilis is transmitted by unprotected anal and oral sex and skin to skin contact during sex. It is extremely important to regularly test, if you are at risk.

PEP

PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a month-long course of anti-HIV drugs that may prevent HIV infection after a possible exposure.

PEP is available at the Sexual Health & HIV Service.
