Adult immunisation campaign

The If you think advertising campaign targets Queensland adults reminding them to check their immunisation status with their GP.

The issue

Immunisation rates in Queensland are not high enough to achieve herd immunity, critical to keeping Queensland communities healthy and protected from serious communicable diseases.

The campaign: If you think...

The If you think advertising campaign targets Queensland adults reminding them to check their immunisation status with their GP.

The campaign aims to address lack of awareness of the importance of adult immunisation, the low level of knowledge people have of their own immunisation history and status, and dispel some common misconceptions about immunisation.

The campaign encompasses print, television, out-of-home and online channels. It commenced with a small burst in November 2014 and again in April and May. 2015, coinciding with the 2015 flu season.

Print and electronic campaign materials such as posters and screensavers are available for download for GPs, healthcare providers, Immunisation Service Providers and anyone who would like to promote the campaign messages of checking your adult immunisations are up to date.
