Health start-ups invited to present speed pitches at the inaugural eHealth Queensland Expo

Queensland Health is inviting mature health start-ups to pitch to a captive audience of 850+ healthcare leaders at the inaugural eHealth Queensland Expo on 31 May 2016 at the Royal International Convention Centre.

Colin McCririck, Chief Executive, eHealth Queensland, said eHealth Queensland is keen to implement the government innovation policies by strengthening relationships with the start-up community.

"We're looking for the best up and coming health start-ups to showcase their businesses through a two minute power pitch.

"As an added bonus we've managed to secure real life Shark Tank mentor and entrepreneur Steve Baxter as part of our innovation panel and futurist Chris Riddell as our keynote speaker and MC for the day.

"This is a truly unique opportunity for health start-ups to promote their businesses to potential customers and for delegates to understand what innovative businesses are being built by local entrepreneurs," Mr McCririck said.

Start-ups can apply online at http://ehealthexpo.health.qld.gov.au/search-for-startups/ by submitting a two minute video and brief bio by close of business Friday 13 May 2016.

"We've had an overwhelmingly positive response to the expo launch with first release tickets booked out on day one.

"We now have more than 850 delegates registered - from Chief Information Officers to Medical Directors the expo will be filled with clinicians, healthcare professionals, IT experts and industry, all with an interest in digital health transformation" he said.

The action-packed one day expo will showcase some the latest and greatest in digital healthcare with more than 40 trade stands from industry and government.
