Public Health Alert – new locations in South Brisbane

A public health alert is being issued for locations in South Brisbane following a confirmed case of COVID-19 in Brisbane.

We urge all Queenslanders to check the contact tracing website and follow the health advice if you’ve been to any of these locations. Visit www.health.qld.gov.au/tracing for more information.

Anyone with any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, should get tested as soon as practical. A list of testing sites including opening times is available at www.qld.gov.au/covid19testing.

New South Wales Border Update

Following New South Wales (NSW) Health’s announcement that stay at home orders have been lifted for Tweed and Byron local government areas (LGAs), Queensland Health will reinstate the non-restricted border zone rules from 1am 29 September.

This will mean the Tweed Shire and Byron Shire Council residents and Queenslanders travelling to these areas will be able to cross the border for more reasons.

For a list of permitted reasons, visit the Queensland Health website.
