Following further contact tracing work overnight, Queensland Health has expanded its list of venues where a confirmed COVID-19 case has visited.

The woman, in her 30s, tested positive to COVID-19 after having been in Melbourne for three days.

While risk to staff and patrons is considered low, anyone who has been to these venues at these dates and times should monitor their health and if they develop any COVID-19 symptoms, even mild, get tested and isolate until they receive their test result.

  • Georges Paragon Restaurant in Brisbane on 6 October from 7.30pm
  • Tha Fish in Cairns on 3 October from 5.45pm to 8.30pm
  • Vivo Palm Cove on 5 October from 5.15pm to 9:00pm
  • An additional time has been identified for ICON Cancer Care in Townsville on 30 September from 9 to 9.30am.

There are testing facilities right across the state including GPs, fever clinics and pop up clinics.

Queensland has one new case of COVID-19 to report today, bringing the state’s total to 1,162.

The overseas-acquired case is a male aged 40-49 years and was detected in hotel quarantine.

The new case brings Queensland’s total active case count to 2, with 1154 recovered. In the past 24 hours, 5280 tests were performed.
