11 July 2020

Queensland has two new overseas-acquired cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) to report today, bringing the total cases to 1,070.

Both cases recently returned from overseas and have been in isolation since arrival. They are therefore not currently considered be a risk to the public.

As of July 11, Queensland currently has three active COVID-19 cases. The case announced on July 7, being managed by Metro North Hospital and Health Service, has now recovered.

The most up-to-date reliable information is available on the Queensland Health website at www.health.qld.gov.au/coronavirus.

It is vital that anyone in Queensland, especially if you’ve been interstate in the last 14 days, gets a COVID-19 test if you develop symptoms, even if mild. Symptoms may include fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste, and fatigue.

There are testing facilities right across the state including GPs, fever clinics and pop up clinics. To find your nearest location, visit the Queensland Health website.

The Queensland Health website now includes detailed information by Local Government Area on the number of active and recovered COVID-19 cases, likely source of infection, age and gender breakdowns of cases and number of self-quarantine notices. You can access this information at www.health.qld.gov.au/covid-data.
