Public Health Alert
A public health alert is being issued for contact tracing locations in Chermside and Nundah.
The new venues relate to a man who was infectious when he entered Queensland on 14 July from New South Wales. He has since been linked to the Queensland woman who tested positive on Thursday.
We are asking all Queenslanders to regularly monitor the list of exposure venues on the Queensland Health website and follow the public health advice.
Contact tracing venues can be found at http://www.health.qld.gov.au/tracing.
A reminder for all Queenslanders – if you have any COVID-19 symptoms at any time, no matter how mild, you should immediately get tested for COVID-19.
Border restrictions
New South Wales residents relocating to Queensland are reminded that while an exemption is not required to enter Queensland, they will need to enter by air and complete 14 days of hotel quarantine.
Those wishing to enter by road or quarantine at their new home will need to apply for an exemption, however, exemptions are only granted in extreme exceptional circumstances.
If you are coming from an area of NSW outside the border zone, staying for 14 days in the border zone is not sufficient, as the border zone is still considered a hotspot, and entry to Queensland is for border zone residents and for a limited range of essential reasons only.
