Updated advice for people who have been in Western Australia

Read time

Queensland has updated its advice to people who have recently been in Western Australia, following further information about the movements of a hotel quarantine security guard who has contracted Covid-19.

Queensland Health is now requesting that anyone who is already in Queensland but has been in Metropolitan Perth, Peel or the South West regions since January 25 (updated from January 26) should come forward and get tested and isolate until they get a negative result.

You can find a list of testing clinics here: https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/stay-informed/testing-and-fever-clinics

Since last night, anyone arriving into Queensland who has been in Metropolitan Perth, Peel or the South West regions of WA since January 25 will be required to go into 14 days mandatory hotel quarantine. This timeframe may change as we receive more information about the WA outbreak.
