1. Introduction Definition

Topic 1 introduces population health, identifies the national population health priority groups and describes the various approaches of population health programs.

Topic 2 introduces gender specific population health priorities and identifies current national programs provided to male and female adults.

Topic 3 discusses child health in the context of child protection, and harm assessment and reporting. It also introduces the Australian Childhood Immunisation Program

Topic 4 discusses the issues of misuse of Alcohol, Tobacco and other drugs in Australia. It also defines mental health, identifies the national mental health priorities and discusses the role of health services in managing population based mental health programs.
