Program Guideline

The program guideline for the Community Nursing Support Program provides information about:

  1. the intent of the program
  2. guiding principles for Community Nursing Support Program service delivery
  3. eligibility and access criteria
  4. assessment and services offered
  5. organisations’ responsibilities.

The guideline includes guidance on the interface between the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and Community Nursing Support Program.

Every Community Nursing Support Program client has the right to lodge a complaint about the service they have received. In the first instance, complaints should be directed to the organisation providing the service, to give them a chance to fix the problem.

If the client's complaint is not resolved to their satisfaction by the Community Nursing Support Program service provider, they may wish to have the complaint dealt with by the Office of the Health Ombudsman.
