Information for patients

Following receipt of referrals, letters will be sent to both the patient and referring doctor regarding the request for that appointment. All correspondence from the Redcliffe Hospital must be read and replied to so that appointments can be confirmed. Failure to follow the instructions could result in a loss of position on the waiting list.  Patients must bring their appointment letter, Medicare Card and Pension Card as well as any relevant tests, scans or x-rays to every appointment.

Upon arrival, please present to one of the 3 bar coding kiosk’s with you appointment letter.  Scan the barcode at the bottom of this letter.  The kiosk will then direct you to the appropriate waiting room that is colour coded by specialty type for your convenience, or the kiosk will direct you to the front counter for more assistance.

At the end of your consultation you will be directed back to the front counter to confirm your details and to book any additional follow up appointments as necessary.
