The training is a centralised statewide recruitment process. Cardiology Directors of the Queensland tertiary hospitals with advanced training accredited positions support the training.

To get a training position, you need to successfully complete the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) Divisional Clinical Examination.

During the training, you’ll be an advanced trainee of the RACP and do the following at your hospital:

  • rotate between more than one hospital or department
  • provide service in Clinical Service Networks (CSN) in our Northern, Southern or Central Hospital and Health services areas.

You’ll complete your training according to the guidelines of the RACP and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ). It is intended that you’ll maximise your professional development.
