Rural and Remote Clinical Support Unit (RRCSU) logo

The Rural and Remote Clinical Support Unit (RRCSU) provides support services to all rural and remote health services in Queensland

The unit supports safe and quality rural and remote health care through the production of clinical resources, training, credentialing, medical employment and advisory support. On request, support is available for all Hospital and Health Services (HHS) with rural and remote facilities.

The RRCSU was developed in 2012 in response to the need to provide governance and clinical support services to the smaller rural and remote Hospital and Health Services in Queensland including:

  • Production of clinical manuals and guidelines
  • Education and training resource development to supported online and blended learning
  • Credentialing services across most clinical disciplines
  • Medical employment and advisory support.

The RRCSU is the clinical interface for the Office of Rural and Remote Health – Healthcare Purchasing and System Performance Division – Queensland Department of Health.
