The Gladstone Hospital provides 24 hour access to the Emergency Department, two operating theatres and a minor procedure room, 29 bed medical/surgical ward (including palliative care), 14 bed gynae/maternity ward with four birthing suites (including one facility for water birthing), eight bed paediatric ward, four bed high dependency unit, three trolley and five chair day surgery unit, three chemotherapy chairs and a four chair satellite renal dialysis unit.

|Orthopaedic services have improved with an increase in sessions provided by surgeons visiting from Rockhampton. In addition, a weekly Telehealth clinic links patients with specialist staff in Rockhampton, eliminating the need for suitable patients to travel.|

High Dependency Unit underwent a major refurbishment in May 2015 to become a contemporary equipped unit with state of the art technology thanks to funding from Santos GLNG and Queensland Gas Corporation.
