Winton Hospital

icon Winton provides accident and emergency care, and general inpatient hospital care. It also provides multipurpose health services.
icon Some visiting allied health and community services include dental, dietetics, physiotherapy, podiatry, occupational therapy, speech pathology, social work, community health, diversional therapy, women's health, child health, mental health, and a diabetic educator (provided by the Medicare Local).
icon Winton can provide financial assistance through the Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme to eligible patients who need to travel away to other health services for procedures and tests not available locally.
icon Home and Community Care services are available for eligible clients. This service is delivered by the Winton Shire Council.
icon Winton established a principal house officer in February 2014 to provide support to the medical superintendent once appointed.
icon A nurse practitioner was established in November 2013 to provide a focus on chronic disease management in the town and regional communities.
