The service provides both inpatient and outpatient (Maleny inpatient only) services and comprises a dedicated team of registered pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and support staff.
The SCHHS Pharmacy Service provides a range of services including:
- Clinical information and assessment on the ward.
- A preadmission evaluation service and oncology services.
- Inpatient, as well as inter-professional, education and advice.
- An outpatient pharmacy service.
- Bulk stores of fluids and medication supplies to the wards.
The service provides high quality, efficient clinical pharmacy and prescription services to health service patients.
We encourage patients to access most of their medications at their local pharmacy. If you are unsure about where you can fill your prescription, please ask our friendly staff.
