Grants and funding
Applying for Research Funding
All research funding applications are different and require careful consideration of the associated fellowship or grant application guidelines to ensure that you submit a competitive application. If you are aiming to attract research funding, then writing grant applications is something that you will need to master. The following guide should help you with this process and submitting applications within Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
Before you start your application preparations - let the research office know that you are planning to submit an application so that we are aware of your timelines and can manage our resourcing to support your application progression where possible.
Good practice tip!
Grants rounds are open for a limited number of weeks. There is a great deal of work required to submit a competitive grant application, so be ahead of your competitors. Don’t wait for a grant round to open - if you have a good idea, work with Research Governance and Development Unit to develop your research proposal, prepare your budget etc. That way, when a grant round opens that is relevant to your project, you will have done most of the work towards your submission.
