Grants and research funding
Wishlist Research Grant Scheme
The Sunshine Coast Health Foundation (Wishlist) provides research grant funding through its annual Research Grant Scheme. The scheme supports researchers across three categories: Novice; Early Career; and Experienced. The award of a Wishlist Research Grant is conditional upon the Principle Investigator being an employee of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.

Management of Research Funding
Most research funding obtained through grants and sponsorship will be awarded or provided under the terms of a funding or research agreement. All SCHHS staff who receive funding for a research project must have the funds appropriately administered by the SCHHS or a research partner (e.g. University). Where the funds will be managed by the SCHHS, a dedicated research cost centre must be established to administer the funding.
The Research Governance Office provides advice and support for the management of funding obtained through research grants and sponsorship. The Research Governance Office can also assist with the development of financial reports for the acquittal of research funding (as required by funding/research agreements) where the SCHHS has administered the grant through a dedicated research cost centre.
