Locations

The Satellite Hospital Program commits to delivering seven new facilities to support public healthcare delivery in South East Queensland.

Suitable locations for each site are currently being investigated and include:

  • Bribie Island
  • Brisbane Northside
  • Brisbane Southside
  • Caboolture
  • Gold Coast
  • Ipswich
  • Redland.

Locations for each site were identified by considering community health needs and opportunities to assist in freeing up capacity at nearby hospitals.

Patients requiring more urgent care for trauma or chronic and emergency health issues will still need to visit the major hospital in their region for health services and treatment.
