Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit
The Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit (AAMHIU) is a 36-bed acute inpatient service located at The Townsville Hospital. The unit delivers specialised care to consumers experiencing acute episodes of mental illness. The unit is a recovery focused service, providing safe and contemporary care in a least restrictive setting. The unit operates on the principles of a multi-disciplinary approach.
