Resource Directory Rural Stroke Outreach service (RSOS)

Overview

Townsville RSOS supports rural and remote nursing and allied health clinicians in the management of stroke survivors and their significant others across the continuum of their stroke journey.

The RSOS team is committed to helping busy clinicians maximize their stroke service provision within the limits of existing rural and remote services. The multi-disciplinary team consists of experienced clinicians who can provide;

  • Individual consultation by phone or email
  • In services and clinical discussion
  • Dissemination of evidence-based stroke resources

RSOS offers support for general rehabilitation services and maintains strong links with the Statewide Stroke Clinical Network, the Statewide Older Person's Health Clinical Network, the Community Rehabilitation Network, the StrokeLink Program and the National Stroke Foundation.
