Last chance to fill in Let’s talk health EOI survey
Community members need to act fast if they wish to provide their thoughts about the upcoming Let’s talk health community consultation period.
Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service’s (WBHHS) Expression Of Interest (EOI) process will conclude on Friday, with submissions of online and hard copy surveys needing to be completed before close of business.
The surveys will help guide how WBHHS conducts its Let’s talk health public consultation for its Strategic Plan 2022-26.
“Community members are encouraged to fill in an EOI survey and help guide how WBHHS undertakes Let’s talk health community consultation in the upcoming months,” Ms Jamieson said.
“Let’s talk health will be our community’s opportunity to contribute to development of WBHHS’s renewed vision for healthcare in our region and to what steps need to be taken to achieve that vision.
“The current EOI process is all about our community sharing what their thoughts are about both public and virtual forums being held in the current COVID-19 environment. I encourage people to take the time to complete a survey.”
The short four question survey is available online at www.health.qld.gov.au/widebay/html/letstalkhealth or people can find hardcopies at WBHHS facilities and other community locations. To request a hardcopy email WBHHS.Consumer@health.qld.gov.au or call 4325 6861.
WBHHS Chief Executive Debbie Carroll said it was important for Let’s talk health consultation to balance the safety of community members with the need to gather as much feedback as possible.
“Our team wants to hold Let’s talk health forums in an appropriate manner that prioritises everyone’s wellbeing while also enabling a broad-cross section of our community to take part,” Ms Carroll said.
“The EOI will let us know what the community thinks about both public and virtual forums, which will help us plan what is appropriate at the current time. Different communities across different towns or areas may have different thoughts, which will be taken into consideration as well.”
