Supportive management (palliative care)

Supportive management is specialist care aiming to improve the quality of life for people with cancer and maintain independence.  Support is also provided to families and carers.

Supportive management aims to:

  • help you achieve the best quality of life
  • make sure your physical, practical, emotional and spiritual needs are met
  • help you make decisions about your treatment and ongoing care

Supportive care can be started at any stage following a cancer diagnosis.
