Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT)

We assess the care needs of frail older persons to help them access a range of Australian Government-subsidised aged care services.

Child and Family Health

We provide a range of community health and support services for children and their parents or carers to give every child the best possible start in life.

Child growth and development screening

Child and Family Health services provide child growth and development checks.

Gumma Gundoo Indigenous maternal and infant outreach

Community based antenatal, postnatal and infant care services for pregnant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women or women having an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander baby.

Hearing clinic

Child and Family Health provide hearing screening services.

Home Care Packages

A flexible, tailored support program to help older people remain at home with the care they need.

Indigenous Hospital Liaison Service

We provide support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander inpatients, outpatients and their families during their hospital experience.

Interpreter services

We provide free interpreters for patients who have impaired hearing or are from non-English speaking backgrounds.

Mobile Women's Health Service

The Mobile Women's Health Service is a network of specially trained women’s health nurses who provide a free and confidential service to Queensland women.

Nurse and Midwife Navigators

We coordinate care and ensure patients receive the most appropriate care at the right time in the right place with the right provider.

Nutrition and dietetics

As experts in nutrition, our dietitians provide education and practical support to enable patients to make dietary choices that will maximise their health and wellbeing.

Occupational therapy

Our occupational therapists play a critical role in helping people of all ages to overcome the effects of disability caused by illness, aging or accident so that they can carry out everyday tasks or occupations and participate in the activities of everyday life.

Pharmacy

We provide medication management services to promote the safe, efficient use of medicines.

Physiotherapy

Our physiotherapists aim to restore a person’s function, maximising their mobility and health and minimising their dysfunction.

Podiatry - High risk foot service

We provide podiatry services to eligible people with acute foot disease and high risk feet.

Public Health

We prevent disease and promote public health and wellbeing at a whole of community level in the Central Queensland and Central West areas.

Rehabilitation

We care for people who need rehabilitation after a disabling illness or injury.

Residential aged care

CQ Health has three aged care facilities in Rockhampton; North Rockhampton Nursing Centre, Eventide Home Rockhampton and the Birribi unit.

School Based Youth Health Service

The School Based Youth Health Service works with young people, school staff and parents in State Secondary Schools.

Smoking cessation

Call Quitline for access to a confidential call-back service from trained counsellors and 12 weeks of free nicotine replacement therapy.

Social work

Social workers assist in dealing with the emotional and practical issues that may arise because of your illness or the illness of a loved one.

Speech pathology

Speech pathologists provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management to children and adults needing help with communication and/or swallowing.

Sub Acute Chronic Care Rehabilitation (SACCR)

Our team of health professionals, students and supporting staff provide treatment, education and tools to help you manage chronic disease at home.

Blood Borne Viruses and Sexual Health

We provide free and confidential screening, treatment and support for sexual health, HIV and viral hepatitis B and C.

CQ Youth Connect

We provide health services and information to youth and youth service providers in Central Queensland.
