Allied Health

We offer a variety of allied health services. Allied health practitioners work with you and your health care team to support your diagnosis, recovery and quality of life.

Our allied health teams provide care to patients throughout our hospital departments as well as in inpatient, outpatient, community and rural settings.

Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapists play a critical role in helping people of all ages to overcome the effects of disability caused by illness, aging or accident so that they can carry out everyday tasks or occupations and participate in the activities of everyday life.

Physiotherapy

Our Physiotherapists aim to restore a person’s function, maximising their mobility and health and minimising their dysfunction.

Speech Pathology

Speech pathologists provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management to children and adults needing help with communication and/or swallowing.

Nutrition and Dietetics

As experts in nutrition, our dietitians provide education and practical support to enable patients to make dietary choices that will maximise their health and wellbeing.

Social Work

Social workers assist in dealing with the emotional and practical issues that may arise because of your illness or the illness of a loved one. Social Workers are available to help patients, families, carers and support people in hospital and community services.

Psychology

Psychologists help patients manage mental and emotional well-being empowering them to solve day-to-day problems and improve quality of life.
