Our region

Our region extends from the Capricorn Coast west to the Central Highlands at Emerald, north to below Mackay and south to Gladstone.

We provide health care to more than 228,000 people living in our regional cities, coastal communities, and remote rural towns.

We have nearly 4,000 staff working in our hospital and health services, including aged care facilities and community clinics.

Living in our region

Whether you make the move for your career or lifestyle, Central Queensland is the perfect place to live, work, and play.

From the water to the mountains, we have it all. Reef diving from Gladstone or Yeppoon and watching the annual whale migration to hiking our mountain ranges.

Our beautiful year round weather makes it easy to explore our national parks, including Great Keppel Island and Carnarvon Gorge.

And the city is only an hour away - catch a one hour flight to Brisbane for a weekend away.

Each region has so much to offer. Find out more on their local websites.
