Current awards and agreements
The primary terms and conditions of employment for the majority of Queensland Health employees are prescribed by awards and agreements.
While the awards are made by the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission (QIRC), agreements are negotiated by Queensland Health and representatives for Queensland Health's employees. Following approval by the employees covered by the proposed agreement (through a ballot process), the agreements are certified by the QIRC.
Queensland Health has seven major agreements that prescribe rates of wages and salaries, and other employment conditions of employees (other than executive service staff and senior officers).
