Capital works or recent improvements
Health facilities at Aurukun will undergo a $6.8 million upgrade in 2017-18. The Aurukun project will involve demolishing the currently disused and dilapidated Home and Community Care (HACC) building adjacent to the Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC).
The upgrade will include an extension to the current PHCC to provide additional clinical consulting rooms, office space and badly-needed additional clinical storage capacity. An additional 8 staff accommodation units and a 6 bay vehicle compound
Alcohol management plans
Visitors and residents are expected to respect and abide by the alcohol management plan. Check the Aurukun Community Alcohol Limits as conditions vary according to community.
