Badu Island Primary Health Care Centre staff consist of clinical nurse consultants, a generalist health practitioner, an advance health worker, a senior health worker, receptionist, cleaner, security officer and project health workers.
The health centre also services the nearby islands and communities of St Paul’s, Kubin and Mabuiag Island.
A number of visiting services are available to the centre including breast screening, men’s and women’s health, Royal Flying Doctor Service, renal services, social and emotion health, family support, dietician and nutrition services, young people’s health and dermatology services.
Financial assistance is available through the Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme to eligible patients who need to travel to other hospitals for procedures and tests not available locally.
Telehealth services are available to give residents access to specialist services without having to leave their local community.

8am – 5pm Monday to Friday. The clinic opens at 9.00am and closes from 12 noon to 2pm for rotation of staff for lunch as well as for catching up on administration and charts due to walk-ins. After hours on-call is available to emergencies only.
