![]() | Bamaga is one of five communities in the Northern Peninsula Area (NPA) and is the unofficial capital of the NPA. The Bamaga Hospital services the communities of Bamaga, Seisia, Injinoo, Umagico and New Mapoon in the NPA. The resident population of the NPA at 2011 was approximately 2400 people. |
![]() | In 2014 Bamaga Hospital achieved accreditation with GPA Accreditation plus. As a result of this accreditation Bamaga Hospital now complies with the Australian College of General Practitioners Standards for General Practice. |
![]() | In 2015, the dental service to Bamaga Hospital increased from one day a week to a regular service of three days per week. |
![]() | The self-care dialysis unit at Bamaga Hospital currently has two chairs. These chairs allow patients who require dialysis and who have had self-dialysis training to remain in the community while undergoing treatment. |
