Chaplain, Pastoral and Spiritual Care

Multi faith room SCUHMulti Faith Hospital Chaplains provide a calming influence in difficult situations, offering emotional, and spiritual support which may or may not be religious.  There are over 40 Chaplains working as a team supporting staff, patients and families across a board range of faith experiences. Chaplains also celebrate many of life’s events and special moments.

Our Chaplains visit the wards daily and can be contacted by phone, the team are always happy to support our patients.

  • You may be anxious, grieving, concerned about surgery,
  • You have received an unexpected outcome and would like to talk it through,
  • You are exploring life’s meaning as a result of their health
  • Perhaps you would like to have an open discussions and receive support dealing with end of life concerns

All patients are welcome to access this service. You can request a Chaplain to visit you in Hospital by talking to your health professional team (Nurse/Doctor).
