- Cervical Screening Tests (we have female clinicians)
- HIV rapid testing (results in 20 minutes) for at risk groups
- Emergency contraception and contraceptive services including Mirena and Implanon insertions
- Ano-genital symptoms/dermatology
- Sexual dysfunction
- Screening and certificates for sex industry workers
- Screening and referral for sexual assault
- A.D.A.M - Androgen Deficiency in Aging Males
- Transgender care
- Hepatitis A, B and Gardasil vaccination for at risk groups
- HIV specialist medical care
- HIV PEP and PrEP
- Free condoms and lube to clients
Fees/cost
Our service is free. You do not need to have a Medicare card for most services provided, but please bring one if you have one. Please note:
- Some medication scripts may incur a PBS dispensing fee, if appropriate for your treatment.
- Some procedures and complex testing are not available to Medicare ineligible clients.
Referrals
You do not need a referral however a referral from GPs are welcomed.
Travellers
Travellers are welcome to use the services provided at our clinic. Results are available one week after your visit. We prefer you are in the local area to receive your results. If you will not be in the Sunshine Coast area one week after testing, we may refer you elsewhere.

The Sunshine Coast Contact Tracing Support Officer is available on 0408 782 422 to provide education and resources for GPs.
About us
Our clinic specialises in sexual health and HIV management services for the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas. Our service is staffed by experienced and qualified sexual health doctors, infectious disease doctors, immunologists and sexual and reproductive health nurses.
Your first visit to our clinic
You do not need a referral to visit our clinic but we recommend you make an appointment by calling 5470 5244. Prior to booking your appointment you may be asked to speak with one of our sexual health nurses to determine if your appointment should be classed as urgent and/or if the clinic is right for your needs.

What to expect during your visit to the clinic
Check in at the reception desk upon arrival. You will be asked to confirm your details and inform us of any changes. If you are new to the clinic, time will be allocated to complete registration forms.
When it is your turn, your first name will be called by the clinic nurse or doctor. During your consultation you will be asked a number of questions regarding your situation. Tests and examinations will be performed as required. If you're unfamiliar with these tests/exams, they will be explained to you.
Once your consultation is complete, you will be given a follow up slip to give to the receptionist. The receptionist will make a follow up appointment for you. Follow up appointments can either be performed in person or by phone, depending on the situation.

Fees/cost
Our service is free. You do not need to have a Medicare card, but please bring one if you have one. We can provide you with a range of care options at your appointment. Referrals from GPs are preferred. Some medication scripts may incur a PBS dispensing fee if appropriate for your treatment.
