The Palaszczuk Government will invest $1.2 billion to deliver a new state-of-the-art Bundaberg Hospital on a new site, as part of the largest investment in hospitals and beds in Queensland’s history.

Breast cancer patients in Wide Bay and regional Queensland are benefiting from innovative and advanced cancer care technology and clinical research closer to home.

Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS) staff and supporters are being encouraged to join the effort on the final stretch of the annual Lifeblood Health Services Blood Drive.

Residents from across the Wide Bay have a final chance to help shape the direction of local health care as part of the Let’s talk health community consultation campaign.

BreastScreen Queensland is set to relocate to a larger site in Hervey Bay to futureproof the delivery of expanded breast screening and assessment services for the local community.

After delivering more than 186,000 cumulative doses, Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service’s COVID-19 vaccination centres in Bundaberg, Hervey Bay and Maryborough are set to close in mid-June.
