We are seeking a consumer representative for the Consumer Partnership Group. About the CommitteeThe Consumer Partnership Group (CPG) provides comment and advice to the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS) Executive. CPG Members: - give voice to consumer perspectives
- highlight current consumer and community priorities
- focus on positively influencing the patient experience
- help us plan, deliver and evaluate our services
Skills and TalentsWe are seeking volunteer Consumer Representatives to join the CPG. You will be willing to: - engage collaboratively
- ask great questions and commit to listen to others
- have input into how WBHHS plan, organise, deliver, monitor and evaluate our health services
- provide advice and feedback from a consumer perspective to the Executive Governance Committee
Time Commitment- Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month for one hour, 2:30pm – 3:30pm. (Note: Currently virtual meetings are being held using the Microsoft Teams application. Videoconferencing may also be used and is accessible from any WBHHS facility.)
- Flexibility to be contacted via email and to commit to approximately one hour to review information before meetings
How we will support youWe will: - provide you with training and orientation to Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service
- clearly explain the role and responsibilities
- introduce you to your key support person who can assist you with any questions or concerns
- support your participation by providing reasonable accommodations (eg accessibility, cultural, dietary, carer, emotional or other needs)
- explain if and how you may be able to seek reimbursement of out of pocket expenses, eg mileage, including how to claim
- keep in regular contact with you and provide opportunities for you to connect with other consumer representatives within our organisation
